Cider is having a major moment.
The Philadelphia Citizen’s Foodizen fellow Jason Wilson has traced the story of its resurgence in his new book, The Cider Revival: Dispatches From the Orchard—and we’re throwing a launch party at Philly’s first urban cidery, Hale & True, to celebrate.
Join us to meet Wilson and sample Hale & True’s exceptional ciders (including a Basement Series limited edition special). Copies of Cider Revival will be available for sale and signing—and 10 percent of the cider sales will be donated to The Citizen.
In his new book, Wilson travels around New York and New England, with forays to the Midwest, the West Coast and Europe. He meets the new heroes of cider: orchardists who are rediscovering long-lost apple varieties, cider makers who possess the attention to craftsmanship of natural winemakers and beverage professionals who see cider as something that's poised to explode in popularity.
